Rise up for Jesus!!!

*Why are we reasoning in our hearts? Gods encouragement is so Amazing!
*We know God died for our sins but we need to act on changing our actions. We can come as we are but can’t stay as we are.  We need to fear and respect God. What does this mean to u?
* RISE UP, pick yourself up where u r right now in ur life with everything that is weighing you down. U don’t have to be perfect to be accepted by Jesus.
*What is ur “Bed” in life that you carrying? Is it sexual immorality,  drug addiction,  abuse, pornograpghy, court case, family trouble, a loss?
*Who is our house? God is our temple, our refuge, a place of safety, where the heavy burden can find rest. We shall Rise up like eagles.
Let us make that final decision to serve the Lord with all that we have. Enough is enough. Let the Lord in and take control of your life.  We can’t do it on our own.

Rise up for Jesus!!!

Rejection

20170520_074435

by Renani van der Westhuizen

Autumn is my favourite season. I love the brown and yellow colours of the different shapes and sizes of leaves that fall to the ground, like a colourful ocean of waves tossed and turned by the winds.

As the leaves fall one by one to the ground, the trees are left exposed with its lengthy branches sticking to all corners of the sky. We can compare this to that painful feeling of rejection we so often hear knocking on the doors of our hearts.

Rejection makes us vulnerable and leaves us feeling exposed to a pain we can hardly express in words. In my previous article I discussed the topic of disappointments. Rejection, we can say is an extension of disappointments. Whenever we experience some kind of disappointment, rejection almost, always seem to follow next.

Like a tree without leaves, our hearts too can feel exposed to that bitter feeling of loneliness. I grew up feeling rejected. I felt rejected at school and even at times rejected at church. I saw myself as an outsider and couldn’t seem to fit into a world with its high expectations. I always felt like I was not good enough for anyone.

In the years following high school, God took me through a healing process and showed me how much He loved me. God started to work on my identity as a person and I soon realised that being His child meant that I no longer have to be afraid of what others think of me and that I was somebody.

Autumn is a season that not only affects one tree, but many. I am sure that most will agree that sometimes you feel all alone in your unique situation, but the truth is you are never alone. My father passed away when I was only three weeks old, but God has always taken care of me and will never reject those who cry out to Him for help.

Jesus too experienced rejection. Not only was He rejected by many (Luke 4:16-30; John 6:60-71), He still paid the price for our sins. That is true love! We can be confident as children of the most high God that He will comfort us during our tests and trials here on earth as we go through the painful seasons on rejection.

The season of rejection may feel like an eternity, but as autumn passes so does winter and then we enter into spring. A new beginning and a fresh start. Although the seasons come and go, just know that every autumn and every winter prepares you to endure any hardships that come along with the uncomfortable seasons of life. A child of God that has endured tests and trials can be a testimony for someone else going through a difficult time.

We are the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27) and we are commanded to love God and love our neighbours as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40).

Disappointments – Hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5)

One drop of poison is all it takes to ruin a glass of pure water. A moment of temptation ruined a perfect world created by a perfect Father. Sin crept into this world like a thief in the night, unexpected, unexplained and most certainly unwelcome.

Disappointments are fruit of sin in a fallen world. the bible says in Romans 3:23 (NKJV) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. Not one man is without sin or has never sinned. The only man, Jesus who was God manifested in the flesh (John 1:14) was without sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The one important thing we need to remember with regards to disappointment is, not only have we all experienced this emotion at some point in our lives, we to have disappointed others.

Steps to receiving healing from disappointments:

  1. The first step to receiving healing from disappointment is; to acknowledge that it has happened.
  2. Ask God to forgive you and restore you.
  3. Forgive those who have disappointed you.
  4. Forgive yourself.
  5. Accept forgiveness from others.
  6. Allow yourself some time through the healing process, to work through the emotions, allowing God to change your heart and change your mind through the washing of water by the word (Ephesians 5:26).
  7. Do good to others when you are going through the healing process (Psalm 37:3).

Scriptures to study:

Jesus said that in this world that you will have many troubles but then He reassured His disciples by saying that He has already overcome this world (John 16:33). Now that is the good  news of the gospel. Jesus paid the price at the cross of Calvary. We no longer have to fear, although life will no always be easy.

Philippians 4:6 (NKJV) “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication , with thanksgiving , let your requests be known to God”.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths”.

James 1:2-4 (NKJV) “My Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.

Conclusion:

Don’t be too hard on others and don’t be too hard on yourselves. They say time heals all wounds. The correct answer is, God heals all wounds, it just takes time in order to produce patience and character (Romans 5:3-5), “God works all things together for His good and His glory” (Romans 8:28).

❤”Still He Walked

He could hear the crowds screaming “crucify” “crucify”…
He could hear the hatred in their voices,

These were His chosen people.

He loved them,

And they were going to crucify him.

He was beaten, bleeding and weakened…

His heart was broken,

But still He walked.
He could see the crowd as He came from the palace.

He knew each of the faces so well.

He had created them.

He knew every smile, every laugh, and every shed tear,

But now they were contorted with rage and anger

His heart broke,

But still He walked.
He searched the crowd for a loving face and He saw very few.

Then he turned His eyes to the only one that mattered

And He knew that He would never be alone.

He looked back at the crowd…

At the people who were spitting at Him

Throwing rocks at Him and mocking Him

And he knew that because of Him,

They would never be alone.

So for them, He walked.
The sounds of the hammer striking the spikes echoed through the crowd.

The sounds of His cries echoed even louder,

The cheers of the crowd, as His hands and feet were nailed to the cross,

Intensified with each blow.

Loudest of all was the still small voice

Inside His Heart that whispered “I am with you, my Son”,

And God’s heart broke.

He had let His son walk.
Jesus could have asked God to end His suffering,

But instead He asked God to forgive.

Not to forgive Him, but to forgive the ones who were persecuting Him.

As He hung on that cross, dying an unimaginable death,

He looked out and saw, not only the faces in the crowd,

But also, the face of every person yet to be,

And His heart filled with love.

As His body was dying, His heart was alive.

Alive with the limitless, unconditional love He feels for each of us.

That is why He walked.
When I forget how much My God loves me,

…I remember His walk.

When I wonder if I can be forgiven,

…I remember His walk.

When I need to be reminded of how to live like Christ,

…I think of His walk.

And to show Him how much I love Him,

…I wake up each morning, turn my eyes to Him,

…….And I walk. ❤

Isn’t Gods love so amazing!!!

He loves us so much. He cares for us so much. Can we really grasp the deep effection.  ” Goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives”, “I shall never leave you nor forsake you”. How much does Gods word penetrate into our souls!!! Or is it jst words that we read. He gave his only son. Can u imagine giving up one of ur kids for humanity. Nevermind using up ur time to help another human being. God tested Abraham and told him to bring his son as a sacrifice…. But God stopped him because he saw how truthful Abraham was to the Lord. He passed the test!

God loves us sooo much more than we realise. He knows how vulnerable we are and He will go out of his way to protect us for those who love him. He knows we make mistakes and he forgive us because he knows what we will become and he was still there in the past trials when we put him on the back burner. When we look back. We are forever thankful that he is a just God. If it wasn’t for his grace.  our past mistakes could have ended our lives. The grace he gives us that we didn’t even deserve.
We shall praise Him, and trust Him, even at the roarest trials in life because God knows the divine plan and purpose for our lives.
I write this with tears in my eyes, compassion I feel in my heart. As the Lord touched my heart tonight. I’d like to take this time to be an encouragement to those who feel alone and lost, frustrated and are close to giving up.  That you continue to cling to the cross. Even when u feel down and out. Who Don’t feel close to the Lord. Just know that he is there. Keep pushing through and praying! Even if its a short prayer. The Lord is listening and comforting you!!
